Schools as laboratories of the future
Forget boring theory! More than 50 Prague schools hold the prestigious international Eco-Schools award. Dozens more schools and kindergartens take part in programmes such as Forest in School, Learning Outdoors and Mrkvička. In “circular schools”, students learn how to reduce food waste, sort and compost bio-waste, and reuse materials. At the Smíchov Secondary Technical School, students have even created their own rooftop hydroponic farm called Pražskej salát.

Toulcův dvůr and the PRALES Eco-Centre are fantastic springboards from which to explore nature. Dozens of eco-centres operate across Prague and its surroundings.
