Festive opening of the exhibition MILAN KUNC: GLOBAL FUTURE
On Wednesday 30 November, in cooperation with the Kampus Hybernská, the Prague House had the opportunity to present the works of the internationally acclaimed artist Milan Kunc at the brand new exhibition Celosvětová budoucnost / Global Future, currated by Filip Kazda.
The theme of the exhibition is loosely related to the exhibition Za hranicí představivosti / Beyond the imagination, which you could see in our HYB4 Gallery in 2021. The exhibition develops the pressing issues of our time such as global warming, the distribution of power, and the consumer society, which Milan Kunc mentioned with the prescience of a prophet in the 1970s.
The Global Future exhibition is on view at the Prague House in Brussels until 31 January 2023 as one of the accompanying programs of the Czech EU Presidency. In addition to the characteristic paintings and sculptures, the exhibition features a set of painted collages, but above all over 50 drawings that are a coherent statement of the times and the artist's critique of global imbalances.
