Agata Krause

Agata Krause is an adviser at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva, Switzerland. She works on development and implementation of housing policies, improving evidence-based policy-making in the light of the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; and smart and sustainable urban development policies and evaluation.
She is an urban planner by qualification and has a strong research background, including the PhD on policy transfer and sustainability assessment. She studied urban planning in Poland, the United Kingdom and Belgium; and occupied numerous research and teaching positions at the University of Cardiff and the University of Dundee.
Prior joining the UNECE, she worked in the context of the European Union institutions, as a research coordinator for Housing Europe, and a policy advisor for EUROCITIES in Brussels, Belgium.
