The Japanese foundation (IFF) International Friendship Foundation has been organising Japan Week already for 31 years - every year in a different country.
Prague City Assembly
21.11.2018 — Prague City Assembly has 65 members that are elected in municipal elections by Prague citizens for a four-year period. The following parties, movement, and coalition are represented for the election period 2018 - 2022: Česká pirátská strana, PRAHA SOBĚ, koalice "TOP 09, STAN a KDU-ČSL", ODS, ANO 2011. Prague City Assembly holds a session once a month (or as needed) and its meetings are open to the public. Meetings of the Assembly are convened in writing and made available to the public. Prague City Hall Assembly decides on significant matters that concern Prague. It puts forward bills in the Chamber of Deputies and approves the Prague City budget, both of which have been previously discussed with individual city districts. Additionally, the Assembly approves the City and territorial districts development programs, issues generally binding regulations, grants honorary citizenships, and awards of the City of Prague. Charles Bridge Renovation Began
14.9.2007 — At last the Charles Bridge renovation finally started, it has been planned since 1991. Its completion date is 11th June 2010 and the repairs should prevent water leakage and improve the infrastructure of the bridge and its access roads. Repair works cost more than 222 million crowns and doesn't concern the stone bridge's antique patina as this will be repaired in 10 years time.

11.3.2019 — From the 15th to the 21st of March 2019, yoga enthusiasts from all over the world will gather in Prague to take part in the 9th Prague Spirit Festival. 'Novoměstská radnice' (The New Town Hall) hosts the main events. Yoga is about life, reality, pleasures and doubts. The motto of this year's annual festival, the first of its kind in the Czech Republic, is "You are not alone".
Prague adds QR codes to public lamppost identification signs
28.6.2020 — Prague City Technology has been adding QR codes to the metal identification tags on public lighting, which will make it easier to report a lighting issue or an illegal advertisement. The codes will help emergency workers, as well as residents and tourists, navigate Prague.
