30.6.2020 — Fans of new circus will be pleased to hear that Letní Letná, the popular new circus festival, will take place this year after all, and only part of the programme will be postponed until next year. The 17th annual Letní Letná festival will take place from the 18th to the 25th of August in Letenské sady in Prague. Unfortunately, the programme will not be the same, but it is still well worth a visit!

24.1.2019 — On Friday, the 1st of February 2019, schoolchildren in the Czech Republic will enjoy a school break. As in previous years, children will participate in project Ledová Praha by visiting monuments, museums and other centres of heritage in Prague. Over the long weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of February, families and groups of children will collect their Ledová karta, a free card that grants free or reduced admission to many museums and galleries in Prague, (such as the National Museum, the Jewish Museum in Prague and the Czech Police Museum) and other places of interest (for example, Prague Castle, Strahov Library and Loreta Praha). This year, about thirty historical and cultural centres of heritage are taking part.

18.4.2011 — Primátor Bohuslav Svoboda pronesl úvodní slovo ve Valdštejnské zahradě při zahájení akce „Kulturou proti antisemitismu,“ kterou pořádá Česká pobočka Mezinárodního křesťanského velvyslanectví Jeruzalém (ICEJ) a jíž primátor poskytl svou záštitu. Akce navázala na performanci „Pochod dobré vůle,“ který účastníci zahájili na Staroměstském náměstí.

24.3.2016 — Hlavní město Praha se úspěšně zúčastnilo prestižního veletrhu komerčních nemovitostí a investičních příležitostí MIPIM ve francouzském Cannes. Spoluvystavovatel pražské expozice Bogle Architects si odváží hlavní cenu v kategorii Best Industrial & Logistics Development. Cenu během slavnostního vyhlášení MIPIM AWARDS převzala výkonná ředitelka Viktorie Součková a ředitelka společnosti Barbora Markechová.

26.8.2019 — Evropská atletická asociace uspořádá ve spolupráci s RunCzech v Praze od 6. do 8. září 2019 Evropskou konferenci běžeckého businessu European Running Business Conference.

25.1.2010 — Rok 2010 vyhlásilo OSN Mezinárodním rokem biodiverzity. Pojmem biodiverzita rozumíme rozmanitost jednotlivých druhů rostlin a živočichů, které jsou součástí přírodního i kulturního prostředí. V České republice, stejně tak jako v řadě dalších států, budou po celý rok probíhat informační a osvětové akce, které chtějí upozornit na ubývání počtu druhů organizmů na Zemi.

2.4.2011 — V sobotu v pravé poledne odstartoval pražský primátor Bohuslav Svoboda 13. ročník světoznámého Hervis ½ Maratonu Praha. Letošní rok vyběhlo na trasu dlouhou 21, 0975 kilometrů 9 500 běžců.

7.9.2016 — V roce 2016 Praha nosí titul Evropské hlavní město sportu, i proto se rozhodla významně podporovat hlavní sportovní události na svém území. Přehled nejbližších doporučených akcí na měsíc červen, červenec a začátek srpna najdete níže.

19.12.2018 — The impressive music experience can be enjoyed at eleven concerts. The 20th anniversary of the festival will bring music and harmony to the various venues in the city: Rudolfinum, Obecní dům (Municipal House), Pražský hrad (Prague Castle), Novoměstská radnice (New Town Hall), Kongresové centrum (Prague Congress Centre) and the hall in the city of Mladá Boleslav. You will be able to enjoy the pleasure of various types of classical music from various eras, such as orchestral music, chamber music or recitals. The audience will hear some very famous pieces as well as interesting music titles rarely performed.

16.1.2019 — From the 15th to the 20th of January, Prague cinemas present a festival, which introduces some of the best current Iranian films. The festival, simply called 'Írán:ci' (Iranians), features films projected with English subtitles. It opens on the 15th of January at 8pm in the Lucerna cinema, with a dark comedy 'Pig', one of the most successful Iranian movies of the year. The director Mani Haghighi, whose movies 'About Elly' and 'Dragon Arrives!' were successful in previous years of the festival, will introduce the film.

19.9.2018 — Na slavnostní tiskové konferenci v Clam-Gallasově paláci v Praze byl představen koncept a program národních oslav 100 let republiky, které se uskuteční v našem hlavním městě. Oslavy společného století v Praze budou zahájeny 28. září znovuspuštěním orloje na Staroměstském náměstí a vyvrcholí o víkendu 27. a 28. října velkolepou oslavou v ulicích Prahy.
