16.1.2019 — From the 15th to the 20th of January, Prague cinemas present a festival, which introduces some of the best current Iranian films. The festival, simply called 'Írán:ci' (Iranians), features films projected with English subtitles. It opens on the 15th of January at 8pm in the Lucerna cinema, with a dark comedy 'Pig', one of the most successful Iranian movies of the year. The director Mani Haghighi, whose movies 'About Elly' and 'Dragon Arrives!' were successful in previous years of the festival, will introduce the film.

22.3.2007 — Moderní bytové domy, vily, obchody a restaurace, dětská hřiště, kanceláře a parková pěší zóna - to vše během tří až pěti let vyroste na místě dnešního, nevzhledného průmyslového areálu Walter v Praze - Jinonicích. Revitalizace Waltrovky bude zahájena projektem s názvem Foja. Projekt využije existujících budov původního filmového studia, ve kterém ve dvacátých letech minulého století vznikaly němé filmy, a spojí residenční využití s komerčním zázemím. Záměr celkové regenerace areálu Waltrovky zahrnuje také komplexní odstranění ekologické zátěže dotčených pozemků.

31.10.2019 — The 6th annual Aussie & Kiwi Film Fest introduces lesser-known cinematography from Australia and New Zealand to audiences in Prague. Aussie is an English slang term for Australians, and Kiwi is slang for New Zealanders. The festival takes place from the 1st to the 6th of November in Lucerna, Atlas and Ponrepo cinemas.
