23.5.2020 — You have the opportunity to admire award-winning and selected photos from the Czech Nature Photo 2020 competition until the 28th of June. The Czech Nature Photo 2020 exhibition, which exhibits the best nature images by photographers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, takes place in the Czech Photo Centre, 4 Seydlerova Street, Prague 5 - Nové Butovice.

23.5.2020 — As Prague would like to have as much public art as some other major cities, streets and other public spaces will be soon filled with work by various artists. The 'Art for the City' programme ('Umění pro město') will support the emergence of contemporary art in public spaces in the Czech capital.

14.8.2020 — Čajomír Fest, the international tea festival, will once again offer two days of tea tastings, great food and drink, music, dancing, a children's zone and a tea school. You can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the festival over the weekend of the 15th and 16th of August in the beautiful surroundings of Vyšehrad.

6.3.2020 — Soups from all over the world can be tasted during this year's annual popular Polívkování festival, which will take place on the 7th of March on the Vltava riverbank ('Náplavka' in Czech) in Smíchov, Prague. 12.7.2020 — Malostranská beseda has prepared a unique exhibition of photographs to celebrate the world-renowned photographer Jan Saudek's 85th birthday. Due to great popularity, the exhibition has been extended until the end of July. The exhibition includes 85 images from the artist's career, some of which have never been exhibited or published before. Saudek's correspondence and notes are also displayed.

2.9.2019 — Until the 3rd of November, an exhibition of Prague City Gallery 'Aleš Hnízdil, Jiří Kačer - Sculptures and Objects' is taking place in Troja Château in Prague 7. Both artists' work is exhibited inside the chateau and in the Baroque garden.

4.8.2019 — Cat Clyde, a talented Canadian musician, will perform at the popular Café V lese. You can look forward to a range of great music, from country and folk to jazz and rock. The concert will take place on the 8th of August in Vršovice.

31.5.2019 — The season of food festivals is in full swing, with Prague Ice Cream Festival kicking off on the 2nd of June in Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha).

The Japanese foundation (IFF) International Friendship Foundation has been organising Japan Week already for 31 years - every year in a different country.

29.12.2019 — If you come to the National Museum of Agriculture in Prague before the 1st of August 2020, you will be able to admire a photo exhibition called 'Jindřich Štreit and Cycles'. Jindřich Štreit is a world-renowned Czech photographer and according to him, agriculture is his life theme.

14.4.2019 — Winter has passed, spring is in the air, and the streets are waking up. On Sunday, the 14th of April 2019, the next season of Street Food Festival begins at the Cross Club in Holešovice.

19.6.2019 — There will be over 40 unique concerts at the fourth annual pop and rock Metronome Festival Prague. The festival will take place on the 21st and 22nd of June in Prague Exhibition Grounds and this year's programme will once again be filled with music stars, both from the Czech Republic and abroad. 29.2.2020 — Prague City Hall intend to transform the Prague Market into a lively space with a wide range of shops, services and cultural activities for all generations, following the takeover of the market in Holešovice last year. The Prague Market, a former slaughterhouse, offers a rich cultural programme for the occasion of its 125th birthday this year.

7.8.2019 — The International festival Letní Letná will bring the magical world of new circus in its various forms to Prague for the sixteenth time. The festival will take place from the 14th of August to the 1st of September.

29.2.2020 — Prague Conservatory invites you to an incredible musical experience on the 2nd of March, when you will get the chance to enjoy the composer Camille Saint-Saëns's works in their representative hall. Students of the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) organised the concert. They formed the orchestra and they will present three instrumental compositions by the French master.

30.7.2020 — Prague City Gallery's Eco-Studio in the Troja Château Orangery is offering summer art workshops to the public that will run during July and August. The eco-studio is an ideal place for art-lovers and creative people to develop their skills and reflect on fine art in the beautiful surroundings of one of Prague's most sought-after tourist attractions. The full-day art workshops, which take place throughout the summer holidays, offer meaningful leisure activities in the form of creative work.

Strict health and safety requirements will be in place during City Hall's office hours, but electronic communication is still recommended whenever possible.
