8.7.2024 — Na víkend 13. a 14. července připravila Zoologická zahrada hlavního města Prahy sváteční programy: V sobotu to bude připomenutí historie chovu lachtanů a v neděli oslava Světového dne hadů.

28.7.2003 — Včera ráno bylo na služebnu strážníků z Prahy 14 oznámeno, že v Bělečské ulici se z domu osmdesátileté ženy ozývá volání o pomoc. Zalarmovaní strážníci se na místě spojili s oznamovatelem, který sdělil, že jeho sousedka nereaguje na telefonní vyzvánění a ani neotevírá dveře od domu. Strážníci okamžitě reagovali a za pomoci vysazení jednoho z okének vstupních dveří si zajistili vstup do domu. V bytě pak na pohovce nalezli ženu, která při pokusu sundat ze skříně nějaký předmět upadla. Strážníci zraněně ženě, která se nemohla postavit na nohy a stěžovala si na silné bolesti v zádech, proto neprodleně zajistili převoz RZS do nemocnice.

17.4.2008 — River boats did not carry many passengers during the winter months. For the first time in 42 years boat services operated throughout the winter of 1991. The company that had been the sole provider of riverboat services on the Vltava, Dopravní Podnik Praha (Prague Public Transport Authority) once again under its original name Pražská Paroplavební Společnost (Prague Steamboat Company), now had to cope with competitors.

4.7.2019 — On the public holiday, the 5th of July, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic will open both Hrzánský Palace in Hradčany and Lichtenštejnský (Liechtenstein) Palace on Kampa Island to the public.

23.5.2023 — Oblíbené Středověké slavnosti se letos uskuteční v sobotu 27. května na Hradčanech. A to v Parku Maxe van der Stoela, který se nachází na křížení Patočkovy, Myslbekovy a Střešovické ulice.

29.9.2019 — The American Center in Prague will host an exhibition called 'Villa Petschek Story' until the 8th of October, which narrates the story of the villa that has served as the United States Ambassadors' palatial residence since the year 1945. A photographic tour of the representative halls, which are usually closed to the public, and unique images from the building of the villa are included in the exhibition.

7.3.2005 — Já jsem přesvědčen, že příjmy politiků v České republice jsou na dostatečné úrovni. Mám dost práce s tím, jak řídit tohle město, a nemám čas, který bych mohl věnovat aktivitám v různých společnostech, byť je zřizuje hlavní město Praha. V této oblasti další příjmy nemám a nevadí mně to.

25.4.2020 — The National Museum in Prague is working on a restoration of its largest collection item, the blue whale skeleton. Visitors will soon be able to see it online.

22.5.2014 — Dnes si ve 36 zemích světa připomínají lidé s Crohnovou chorobou a ulcerózní kolitidou Světový den IBD. V České republice se sejdou pacienti s idiopatickými střevními záněty a jejich příznivci tuto sobotu 24. května na pražské Ladronce. Pokusí se překonat český rekord v počtu sesbíraných ruliček od toaletního papíru. Ty si zvolili jako symbol svých každodenních potíží. V České republice těmito chronickými nemocemi, které nejsou zcela vyléčitelné, trpí 42 tisíc lidí.

17.7.2020 — Prague City Gallery comes back to life with exhibitions, various programmes and other events. Yet another interesting exhibition will take place in one of the most beautiful Baroque buildings, Troja Château. The 'Stone Treasures from Prague Gardens' exhibition will be open to visitors until the 1st of November.

28.6.2020 — 'Manet in Black-and-White' is an exhibition of graphic works by the French painter Édouard Manet held in the National Gallery Prague. The exhibition will be open in the Graphic Cabinet on the 4th floor of the Trade Fair Palace until the 9th of August. The National Gallery Prague has been located in the Trade Fair Palace in Prague's Holešovice district since 1976. Apart from the temporary exhibition of Manet's lesser-known works, you can also visit the permanent exhibition of 20thand 21st century art located there.

16.8.2004 — Za slunečného nedělního dopoledne přiváží každý autobus městské hromadné dopravy k zoologické zahradě v Troji davy návštěvníků. Dnes však mohou spatřit něco výjimečného. „Zveme vás na slavnostní otevření pavilonu šelem, které se koná od jedenácti hodin,“ ozývá se z amplionu u vchodu.

23.8.2020 — The Sculpture Line is a festival that transforms squares, streets, parks and other public spaces into open-air galleries. The festival is taking place in Prague and other Czech cities and towns for the sixth time. Sculpture Line is the largest event in the Czech Republic that supports the connection between sculpture and public space and, in doing so, expands the cultural and artistic potential of public spaces, bringing emotion into public spaces and exploring new possibilities. The main idea of the long-term art project is to introduce contemporary art to both residents and tourists, and to enhance the social function of public spaces.

Celkem šest druhů zahrnuje savce, ptáky, ale i plaza a rybu, kteří se netěší dostatečné pozornosti veřejnosti. Jejich podpora je oblíbeným vánočním dárkem - nejen pro ně, ale i pro vaše blízké.

27.3.2019 — On the 31st of March 2019, a project dedicated to the early works of Pablo Picasso will be screened in Lucerna cinema as part of the Exhibition on Screen series.

27.10.2020 — Technická správa komunikací hl. m. Prahy (TSK) announced two public contracts for the restoration of Prague's Libeň Bridge, management of the construction and coordination of the entire project. The aim of the first contract is to select a supplier of the construction works and related design and engineering services. The selection process will be carried out in accordance with the FIDIC - Yellow Book conditions (Design & Build project type). The second public contract aims to find a suitable construction manager and project coordinator.

26.8.2019 — The largest organ in Prague is in the Basilica of St. James the Greater ('Bazilika svatého Jakuba Většího'). This church will be filled with the beautiful sounds of this great instrument during the 24th International Organ Festival.

8.10.2019 — Na Jenerálce v Dejvicích se nachází velice zajímavé území bývalého hliniště Bradáčovy cihelny, tedy místa, kde se dříve těžila cihlářská hlína. Plocha přímo navazuje na přírodní památku Jenerálka, která je známá svou krásnou skalní stepí. Území projde rekonstrukcí, vznikne zde nová cesta propojující horní a dolní Šárku, budou zde vyhloubeny tůně. Území brzy pokryje step, podobně jak je tomu v sousední přírodní památce.

27.1.2021 — Thanks to cooperation between Prague and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, the first technological aids from Taiwan will arrive at Prague schools this week. Robots will help in lessons for lower grades at the grammar school in Čakovice, while spectrum analysers will be utilised at the Secondary Industrial School of Electrical Engineering in Ječná. This is the pilot phase of joint projects that Prague is preparing in cooperation with Taiwan. Cooperation projects in the field of education are being prepared, with their implementation planned for this year. These include digitisation in the field of children's education, IT innovation and climate change awareness.

19.7.2022 — Vystoupení hudebních a divadelních souborů z celé republiky ve Valdštejnské zahradě pod záštitou senátorek a senátorů - to je Valdštejnské léto. Letošní ročník nabízí program každý čtvrtek, výjimečně v úterý, a to až do konce srpna.
