8.6.2021 — Praha odsouhlasila poskytnutí mimořádné finanční podpory na pořádání významných sportovních akcí, které se v letošním roce konají na území hlavního města. Celkově je pro tyto účely vyčleněna částka ve výši tří milionů korun.

22.5.2020 — Prague City Gallery is slowly returning to normal operation after the closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. For example, visitors can admire 'Colorbond', a sculpture exhibition by Jan Kovářík, from mid-May. Troja Château Gardens belong to the most beautiful Baroque gardens in Prague. Art lovers can find many statues, rare decorative terracotta vases, pergolas, a maze and fountains there. Kovářík's sculptures will give the garden's visitors an additional artistic experience during the tourist season.

18.10.2007 — Primátor hlavního města Prahy Pavel Bém se stal čestným předsedou Pražské asociace kongresové turistiky – Prague Convention Bureau a byl dnes ve Velké jednací síni pražského zastupitelstva na Nové radnici slavnostně inaugurován. Hlavním posláním asociace je získávat dlouhodobě co nejvíce kongresových, sportovních, kulturních a dalších akcí pro hlavní město Prahu.

The 20th anniversary of the festival will bring music and harmony to the various venues in the city: Rudolfinum, Obecní dům (Municipal House), Pražský hrad (Prague Castle), Novoměstská radnice (New Town Hall), Kongresové centrum (Prague Congress Centre) and the hall in the city of Mladá Boleslav. 29.9.2019 — Lunchmeat Festival, an annual international festival dedicated to advanced electronic music and new media art, will take place between the 30th of September and the 5th of October. This year, the tenth annual audio-visual festival will take place in four venues.

28.12.2019 — The Collegium 1704 Orchestra, which is dedicated to the interpretation of Baroque music, will perform music by the Italian Baroque masters with the vocal ensemble Collegium Vocale 1704 at their New Year's Eve concert in Rudolfinum in Prague.

30.4.2020 — One hundred and thirty animals from over forty species have been born in Prague Zoo since it closed on the 13th of March 2020. With other animals still giving birth, including the rare Malayan tapir, zookeepers are wondering when the public will get to see them.

29.9.2019 — The American Center in Prague will host an exhibition called 'Villa Petschek Story' until the 8th of October, which narrates the story of the villa that has served as the United States Ambassadors' palatial residence since the year 1945. A photographic tour of the representative halls, which are usually closed to the public, and unique images from the building of the villa are included in the exhibition.

9.4.2013 — Hlavní město uvolní 9,5 milionu korun na Partnerství Prahy při pořádání dalších sportovních akcí, rozhodli o tom na dnešním jednání pražští radní.

17.3.2015 — Prahu čeká jednodenní festival s pestrou nabídkou sportů a aktivní turistiky v metropoli. Přehlídka s názvem Praha v pohybu/Prague in Motion se bude konat na Staroměstském náměstí v neděli 12. dubna. Prague City Tourism (Pražská informační služba) touto akcí zahájí letošní aktivní sezonu, kterou obohacuje řada významných sportovních klání, jakými jsou halové mistrovství Evropy, světový šampionát v hokeji nebo mistrovství Evropy ve fotbale hráčů do 21 let.

15.8.2023 — Festival Prague Sounds pokračuje v tradici mimořádných zářijových koncertů. Letos se z hladiny Vltavy přesune do Vladislavského sálu Pražského hradu, aby zde 3. září uvedl monumentální Válečné rekviem (War Requiem) Benjamina Brittena. Toto hudební britský skladatel napsal v roce 1962 k příležitosti dokončení obnovy gotické katedrály v Coventry po jejím zničení během 2. světové války.

28.4.2016 — Třetí ročník Prague Design Week představí jedinečné expozice z recyklovaných materiálů i unikátní řemeslnou výrobu. Tato jediná jarní designérská přehlídka u nás se uskuteční pod záštitou primátorky hlavního města Adriany Krnáčové od 2. do 8. května v Kafkově domě.

17.8.2020 — On the night of the 21st of August, Nora En Pure, a talented DJ, will show her mixing skills at the Roxy Music Club. The artist regularly returns to the Czech capital and Prague audiences love her. Nora En Pure was born as Daniela Di Lillo in Johannesburg in 1990, to South African-Swiss parents. 30.7.2020 — Summer 2020 in Prague Botanical Garden is dedicated to conifers. Araucaria, Podocarpus, and Agathis (commonly known as kauri or dammara) are not the names of mythical animals, but of conifers that the garden will introduce as part of an exhibition that will take place until the end of August. Children will have the opportunity to learn all about conifers with characters from 'Čtyřlístek', popular Czech comic books for children.

13.2.2017 — Hlavní město Praha letos otevře společný stánek pro aktivity magistrátu i příspěvkových organizací na 26. středoevropském veletrhu cestovního ruchu Holiday World. Ten se koná 16. – 19. února na holešovickém Výstavišti. Hlavním organizátorem prezentace hlavního města je odbor památkové péče MHMP a organizace Prague City Tourism.

9.12.2016 — Jeden z nejpopulárnějších světových hudebníků Sting poprvé v Česku vystoupí na festivalovém pódiu. Bude prvním headlinerem Prague Metronome Festivalu, který se odehraje od 23. do 24. června 2017 na pražském Výstavišti.

29.5.2019 — The 21st international festival, "Prague Heart of Nations 2019", is the largest joint event for minorities in the Czech Republic, bringing a wealth of traditions from nations around the world. From the 30th of May to the 3rd of June, the festival will symbolically take place in the heart of Europe - the historical centre of Prague. Since 1999, musicians, singers and dancers have come to the Czech capital to perform traditional folk art from their native countries. This year, Prague will welcome a wide range of artists once again.

2.4.2019 — On the 7th of April 2019, this year's horseracing season will begin in Velká Chuchle. The day will bring a total of eight races. The highlights of the opening afternoon will be the 92nd Gomba Handicap and the 61st April Stakes.

10.6.2008 — Rada hlavního města Prahy schválila přidělení finančních prostředků v celkové výši 5 780 000 korun na podporu sportovních akcí v roce 2008. Hlavní město Praha na tyto akce přispívá a podporuje je v rámci partnerství při jejich pořádání.

5.9.2022 — Nadační fond Praha ve filmu Prague Film Fund se změní na Pražský audiovizuální nadační fond. Změna názvu reflektuje celosvětovou změnu názvosloví i trendů v audiovizi. Změny v pražském nadačním fondu připravilo město a správní rada nadace ve spolupráci s Asociací producentů v audiovizi (APA).

10.6.2014 — Pražský primátor Tomáš Hudeček dnes přednesl úvodní slovo na konferenci Aspen Institute Prague pod názvem "The Big Bang. 25 Years since Annus Mirabilis“, jejímž tématem jsou společenské a jiné změny v Evropě za uplynulých 25 let.

14.5.2018 — V sobotu 19. května se uskuteční na území městských částí Praha 5 a Praha 13 cyklistický závod "Bike Prague 2018". V době konání závodu od 6.00 do 18.00 hodin budou postupně uzavírány komunikace na jeho trase.

15.4.2020 — The Czech Technical University in Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences have developed and tested a new protective respirator half mask in Prague. It fits better than FFP2 respirators, which are imported from Asia and are less effective in Europe due to their different shape.

10.11.2021 — Hlavní město Praha dnes podepsalo memorandum s Asociací hotelů a restaurací ČR a společností Prague City Tourism. Vzájemná dohoda odstartuje spolupráci na propagaci hlavního města v zahraničí a podpoře příjezdového cestovního ruchu. Současně se jím Praha také zavazuje investovat více finančních prostředků do kultivace a rozvoje udržitelného cestovního ruchu. Ty však nepůjdou z kapes Pražanů, ale z poplatku z pobytu, který chce Praha od ledna navýšit na 50 Kč.

20.9.2011 — Primátor hl. m. Prahy Bohuslav Svoboda se dnes zúčastnil slavnostního otevření nového a jedinečného centra Brest Unit Prague - specializovaného komplexního pracoviště pro včasnou diagnostiku a léčbu prsu. Vyplní tak chybějící a požadovanou kapacitu v síti screeningových pracovišť v Praze.

31.7.2019 — Famous organ concerts in the baroque church of St. Francis of Assisi, in the heart of the Old Town of Prague, have their tradition since 1993. Besides compositions by world-famous composers from the Baroque and Classicism periods, music by Czech composers is also regularly played there.

30.11.2019 — Michael Rittstein, an artist who uses bold colours and large formats, is celebrating his 70th birthday. A selection of his work was collected in the Prague Castle Riding School for the occasion. The exhibition 'In Waves' can only be seen until the 5th of January 2020.

5.8.2019 — The international floorball tournament Czech Open 2019 will take place in thirteen halls across Prague from the 8th to the 11th of August. The tournament is not only for elite world teams, but also for amateur and junior teams. The 28th international floorball tournament is considered one of the largest and most prestigious in the world. The biggest stars regularly come to Prague for this event.

29.2.2020 — British musician Jade Bird will play her style of American folk music at NoD Roxy club in Prague on the 2nd of March. This will be her first performance in the Czech Republic. British singer-songwriter Jade Elizabeth Bird is rapidly becoming one of the most interesting young, female voices in music. She has distinctive vocals and strong melodies, and brilliantly interprets American folk for European ears.

31.10.2020 — Do not despair if you missed the exhibition 'The Beauty of Wild Horses' in Prague Zoo before its closure. The garden has prepared an online version of the exhibition, which is now available on their website. Prague Zoo has played an important role in saving Przewalski's horse from extinction since 1921, and more recently, in returning these wild horses to their natural habitat, the steppes of central Asia. The zoo also keeps a breed registry for Przewalski's horse species.
