11.6.2024 — Městská divadla pražská uvedou v české premiéře inscenaci na motivy cenami ověnčené Knihy nocí od významné současné francouzské spisovatelky Sylvie Germain, která prožila několik let i v Praze.

Slavnostní zahájení v pořadí již deváté přehlídky německy mluvené kinematografie zavede diváky do překvapivě cynického světa nadnárodních korporací a poradenských společností. Divácky úspěšný i kritikou ceněný snímek Čas kanibalů na půdorysu odvráceného života „bílých límečků“ nabídne širokou plejádu emocí: od černého humoru, přes závrať z lidské zvrácenosti až po nečekanou zápletku. Snímek ve středu 15. října ve velkém sále kina Lucerna osobně uvede autor scénáře Stefan Weigl.

25.2.2020 — A brand-new film festival is coming to Prague. The first annual independent Indian film festival, 'INDIE-INDIA', will take place in the Pilotů Cinema on the 28th and 29th of February.

14.2.2020 — On the 18th of February, the La Película festival will start in Prague's Světozor Cinema. For six days viewers will have the opportunity to delve into Spanish and Latin American films. This year, the festival will focus also on Cuban history.

30.5.2020 — Masopust theatre company has prepared a dramatic stage reading of 'The Resurrection and Death of Jesus' by the Norwegian author Fredrik Brattberg under Miloslav König's direction. The premiere will take place on Thursday, the 4th of June, in Na Zábradlí Theatre, when the actors will dramatically read from the theatre's windows for spectators in Anenské Square below. Miloslav König is a long-time member of Masopust theatre company. A former actor, he took over the role of artistic director this spring.

16.9.2022 — Napínavý příběh absolutní lásky režíruje autor Martin Františák. Premiéra 24. září, reprízy následují 26. září, a 8. a 31. října 2022.

10.3.2020 — 'Greetings from Fukushima' is a German drama which will be screened on the 11th of March in the Goethe-Institut in Prague. The award-winning film deals with the consequences of a nuclear disaster and interpersonal relationships.

17.7.2020 — The sixth annual film festival Das Sommerkino screens films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland during the summer holiday season. The screenings take place every Tuesday and Thursday in July, and every Monday and Wednesday in August. Das Sommerkino offers the best recent German language films with free admission. The films on the festival's programme were mostly successful at previous years of Das Filmfest, and won a number of prestigious international awards. The films which deal with current topics, insights into the recent past, as well as historical films will please cinema goers in Prague. Those who appreciate fine arts and architecture will also enjoy this year's programme. A total of 18 films will be screened, which will be a kind of preparation for the traditional autumn film festival Das Filmfest.

14.2.2019 — Lovers of Nordic movies are certainly looking forward to this year's annual festival Nordic Film Winter. Running from the 14th to the 19th of February 2019, the festival will offer 26 movies from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Lithuania. For six of them, it will be their Czech premiere! All films are subtitled in English. The traditional feast Nordic and Baltic film production is coming to Czech and Moravian cinemas for the ninth time, with 22 cinemas from all over the country taking part in the event.
