Yesterday, the international expert Roundtable titled "Exchange of Experience in Crisis Management and Emergency Response Equipment" took place at the Mayor’s Residence with the participation of professionals from the Czech Republic, Israel and the United States.
The Roundtable was opened by Mayor Svoboda, who oversees Prague’s security agenda, and Amir Weissbrod, the newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to the Czech Republic.
Mayor Svoboda also held a bilateral meeting with Ambassador Weissbrod to discuss opportunities for collaboration.
The main objective of the event was to provide a platform for the exchange of valuable experiences, promote best practices and explore innovative solutions in emergency and crisis management.
The programme included a visit to the Holešovice Fire Station for a practical demonstration of the equipment of the Integrated Rescue System Units. 🚑 🚒 🚓
The Roundtable reflects Prague’s commitment to international inter-city cooperation and advancing the resilience of urban systems across borders.
🗓️ Coming in April 2026: Prague will host the first professional conference of Central European emergency medical services – an important milestone in advancing regional cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Mayor Svoboda welcomed the First Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Peter Tschentscher, to the Mayor's Residence. The visit marked the 35th anniversary of the Sister City relationship between the two cities. This important milestone is being celebrated throughout the year with a variety of ongoing initiatives that exactly reflect the strength, depth, and significance of this long-standing relationship. 🤝
Both mayors praised the enduring cooperation between Prague and Hamburg, recently strengthened through direct collaboration between their emergency services. These connections offer expertise and coordination in times of crisis, contributing to greater public safety.
The delegations from the two cities, linked by the Elbe and Vltava rivers, also shared insights and experiences related to the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall in Hamburg. Prague is currently preparing for the construction of its own major cultural project, the Vltava Philharmonic Hall.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening the partnership through both ongoing and new initiatives.

The City of Prague participated in the 27th edition of the EXPO REAL (Messe München), presenting current development projects, long-term plans and opportunities for cooperation.
HIghlights of Day 2️⃣:
▫️ Councillor Daniel Mazur spoke about the Innovation environment in Prague
▫️ Planetum Director Jakub Rozehnal presented the newly refurbished world-class LED Planetairum in Prague, the first of its kind in Europe, third in the world
▫️ Crestyl CEO Simon Johnson introduced the ambitious Savarin project currently underway in the heart of Prague
The programme included individual meetings with both public and private sector representatives, including Berlin, Madrid and Singapore.
