City of Prague

Prague is a dynamic European capital that blends rich history with forward-thinking innovation. As a proud exhibitor at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Prague presents a selection of projects that reflect a city in motion—safe, connected, and efficient. The exhibition highlights collaboration between city-owned companies, universities, and private partners, all working together to improve daily urban life through smart energy, mobility, data, and citizen engagement. Many of these award-winning innovations come from the youngest generation of innovators. Visit the Prague stand, part of the Czech Pavilion, and discover how tradition and innovation shape a better future for all.

Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM)

A set of transport visions for a modern city – a concept combining technology, aesthetics, and sustainability. The project presents a comprehensive view of the future of transportation in an urban environment through three autonomous transportation concepts, presented using augmented reality (AR) on tablets and screens, and complemented by two sculptural objects that reflect the relationship between technology, urbanism, and materials.

Corac Engineering, Corac DeepTrace

Corac will feature a satellite mock-up with simulated communication lines and can easily demonstrate what an attempt to hijack a satellite by a hacker looks like and how something similar could be done with Smart Cities sensors, causing chaos in the city or making critical services inaccessible.
The topic is also relevant to Smart Cities, because as it is developed for the needs of the space industry, it can protect sensor data during transmission over unprotected terrestrial data networks.

Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering

An interactive model of the VR-1 nuclear reactor, which is operated at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague.

Czech Technical University in Prague, Clima Superresolution  / Conversational AI for cities (Jackdaw et al.)

Increasing the resolution of climate data (Clima Superresolution), Technology enabling more detailed analysis of climate data for better planning and management of urban areas. It focuses on detecting future heat islands and provides accurate data to help cities respond effectively to climate challenges.
An intelligent conversational interface providing users with information based on available local data (known as Retrieval Augmented Generation). We will show how to effectively connect the conversational interface and map data, including predictions from our advanced GEO AI models.

Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, MYCZU SmartCityApp

A unified application controlling all SmartCity tools (real-time navigation, parking assistant, public transport, emergency alerts, air quality monitoring, health and social services, e-government, tourist information, smart technologies, financial and business services).

Dronentag Scout

Dronetag Scout is a stationary signal receiver that enables real-time identification of unmanned aircraft in the vicinity – including product information such as their dimensions, position, route, speed, operator, and pilot position. Designed for urban and industrial environments, it ensures safety, transparency, and control of airspace. Scout helps security forces, local governments, and airport operators gain situational awareness at a time of growing numbers of drones. It is easy to deploy, scalable, and ready for integration into urban smart infrastructure systems.

EAGLE.ONE, Multi-Robotic Systems Group, Department of Cybernetics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague

EAGLE.ONE is an autonomous flying robot used to protect sensitive locations from unauthorized drones. Using artificial intelligence and advanced sensors, it detects, tracks, and captures unwanted drones in its net. Unlike jammers or weapons, it is safe and non-destructive, allowing for reverse analysis of the captured drone. It can be used, for example, to protect airports, prisons, or government institutions. The project was presented at the Expo 2020 world exhibition in Dubai and was part of the Czech president's official business delegation to the US.

Intellmaps

Intellmaps develop digital twins of buildings and infrastructure using a combination of mobile laser scanning and artificial intelligence. Their technology enables fast and accurate digitization of physical spaces with high precision, even in challenging conditions (e.g., industrial sites, historic buildings, transportation hubs).

Operator ICT

Operator ICT (OICT) is a municipal company owned by the City of Prague, responsible for driving innovation and implementing Smart City solutions across the Czech capital. As the key city organization in charge of data, digital transformation, and urban innovation, OICT manages Prague's strategic Smart City agenda, focusing on sustainability, citizen well-being, and efficient urban services. OICT operates Prague’s city data platform, Golemio, which aggregates, analyzes, and visualizes urban data to support evidence-based decision-making and transparency. The company develops and manages innovative projects in areas such as urban mobility, digital services, participatory tools, environmental monitoring, and public space enhancement. In recent years, OICT has expanded its activities into international cooperation and is actively participating in several Horizon Europe projects. We are eager to strengthen these collaborations and are open to building new partnerships that help cities across Europe become more innovative, data-driven, and citizen-centered.
