Old things give new opportunities.
The Reuse project at schools is intended for the general public and shows that even old or broken items have value and can continue to serve well. Thanks to support from the City of Prague, you can take part in repair and upcycling workshops throughout the year (except during summer holidays), either at a low cost or free of charge.
Reuse at Schools was recognized as an example of good practice in the NEJpraxe Zdravých měst (Best practices of Healthy Cities, NSZM) 2025 competition.

What will you learn?
Renovation and repairs
In fully equipped school workshops, experienced instructors help the public repair their favorite small pieces of furniture, electronics, and other household items.
Working with textiles
Some courses focus on textile repair and upcycling. Unwanted clothes can become a new fashion piece or an accessory.
Repair Café
Community Repair Cafés are also a part of the project – these are gatherings where people repair everyday household items together, and share their experience. This creates a community which gives items a second chance and where repairs once again become a natural thing to do.
