Tourism in Prague in 2025

In 2025, Prague confirmed its position as the most visited region in the Czech Republic. A record number of 8.27 million guests (+2.6%) stayed in the city’s lodging facilities, of whom 81% were foreign visitors. They stayed for a total of 18.98 million nights (+3.9%), breaking the previous record set in 2019.

The largest number of tourists, as always, came from Germany (981,000), followed by the USA (507,000) and the UK (501,000). Many tourists also came from Poland, Slovakia and Italy. Among non-European countries, the greatest interest was from Israel (207,000 visitors); Israel also recorded the highest year-on-year growth. The number of visitors from Poland, the UK, Turkey, China and South Korea also grew significantly.

European guests accounted for 71% of the international clientele, while visitors from Asia accounted for 15% and from North America for almost 9%.

The last quarter of 2025 was extremely successful, with the arrival of 2.24 million guests, the most since 2012. Of these, 444,000 were inland and 1.79 million were foreign visitors.
