Prague is the sixth most popular congress destination in the world

According to the current ranking of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Prague has maintained its standing among the most important congress destinations in the world, placing 6th in 2025 out of a total of 4 728 cities. First place went to Lisbon, Portugal, followed by Paris and Barcelona. The Czech capital hosted a total of 5 166 events of various kinds last year, attended by over 850 000 delegates, marking a year-on-year increase of 0.5%. The segment of smaller events for 50 to 500 participants saw particular growth, but Prague was also the site of dozens of major international congresses with more than a thousand delegates. Medical fields have long been one of the strongest drivers of Prague’s congress and conference market, but events focused on technology, economics, finance and business are becoming increasingly important as well.
