On 16 June 2026, Prague Congress Centre (PCC) started construction of a new Exhibition Hall, which will expand its capacity by an additional 5000 m2 of modern multifunctional spaces. The project, entailing an expenditure of approximately CZK 1.35 billion, is one of the largest investments in the history of PCC and its completion is planned for 2028. The new hall will allow Prague to organise major international congresses that the city had previously had to turn down for capacity reasons, thus boosting the capital’s position among leading global congress destinations. The project will also include an emphasis on sustainability, along with subsequent revitalisation of the surrounding public spaces, including a new lookout point, café, and barrier-free access to the Vyšehrad metro station.
