Immovable cultural sites
The Czech Republic Ministry of Culture declares immovable and moveable things as cultural sites, and any of their ensembles that are significant records of historical development, way of life, artistic abilities and work of people from a wide variety of fields of human activities, for their historic, artistic, scientific and technical value, which have a direct connection with prominent persons and historical events. The ministry of culture requests the statements of the regional authority and general authority of parishes with extra powers (districts) before declaring a thing as a cultural site. The Ministry of Culture declares archaeological finds as cultural sites at the proposal of the Czech Republic Academy of Sciences.
Cancellation of declaration of a thing as a cultural site.
If it does not concern a national cultural site, the Ministry of Culture can for extraordinarily important reasons cancel the declaration of a thing as a cultural site at the request of the owner of the cultural site or organisation, which will show legal interest in the cancellation of the declaration of a thing as a cultural site, or of its own instigation.
