Forgotten technical monument brought back to life

One of Prague's technical monuments, a part of an old cable car track in Letenské Sady, which was almost forgotten, has been restored by the city of Prague.

The viewpoint at the cable car’s former upper station was repaired by the Department of Environmental Protection at a cost of 2.3 million CZK.

A beautiful viewing point was created from the remains of the original walls, the building’s foundations, and the old railings. The atmosphere is further improved by gentle night-time lights, which light up the original track of the cable car. To complete the reconstruction, a mapletree was planted at the viewpoint.

Information can be found on a bilingual board in the park.
