Main Station

Prague – Main Station (also called Wilson Station) has been undergoing extensive renovations since 2006, with the scheduled year of completion being 2010. The renovation has been divided into five stages and Italian company Grandi Stazioni is in charge of the project designed by architect Patrik Kotas. The renovated northern part of the new departure hall was opened to the public in June 2009. Here visitors can find new shops, restaurants, and tourist information (opening hours are Mo - Fri 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sat - Sun 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and a modern dispatching centre ČD (opening hours are daily between 3.20 a.m. and 0.50 a.m.). Transport connection:: The station of metro line C is directly in the train station, or you can use tram nos. 5, 9 and 26 or night tram nos. 55 and 58, which stop at the station Bolzanova, about 3 minutes on foot to the left of the exit. (You can search connections here.)
