Smíchov Station
Smíchov Station is a smallish Prague train station which has been waiting to be renovated for quite a while. The station caters for connections in the directions of Plzeň and Písek. Apart from that, there is a separate so-called north station (in timetables recorded as a separate station), which is used for the railway line known as Prague Semmering. Services are of a lower standard offering a Czech Railways information office and refreshment. The station is often used by tourists for trips to the areas of Černošice, Srbsko and to Karlštejn Castle.
Transport connection: The station is located on the left shore of the Vltava River, outside the city centre. The station is connected to the city centre by metro line B - station Smíchovské nádraží, tram nos. 12, 13, 14, 20 12, 13, 14, 20 - station Smíchovské nádraží and bus lines n. 129, 172, 196, 198, 199, 204, 241, 243, 244, 246, 248, 253, 255 - station Smíchovské nádraží, which travel out of the centre or connect the station to the outskirts of Prague.
