Tea lovers meet at Vyšehrad
As in previous years, Čajomír Fest, the 11th annual international tea festival, will offer two days of tea tasting, food, workshops, children's activities, music, relaxation, pottery and much more. You can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the festival on the 24th and 25th of August at Vyšehrad.
For two days, Vyšehrad will be transformed once again into the largest open-air tea house in Europe. Taste numerous varieties of tea, and learn about its preparation, both traditional and modern.
Tea, tea and more tea
Mae Salong – a red tea with St. John's wort from Thailand collected at the full moon, Oolong from Taiwan, Dhara White, Wayusa, hemp tea, cocoa tea, Hong Cha tea, and many more varieties of known and unknown teas will be available at Vyšehrad.
What is more, the masters in this field will teach you how to prepare and serve this delicious, healthy beverage properly. You can look forward to meeting dozens of experts who will brew their tea in an original way and with a unique story behind each type of tea.
Good family
This year, the festival is also cooperating with a great project called ‘Dobrá rodina’ (Good Family). ‘Dobrá rodina’ is an organisation that helps foster children and foster parents.
“We have provided ‘Dobrá rodina’ with a space in the children’s play area, where they will prepare a number of great activities for children. They will try balancing toys, and planting seeds pots. And visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about what this organisation does for children and foster families,” the event organisers said.
If you wish to help ‘Dobrá rodina’ with a specific gift, a gift collection for premature babies and school children will take place at Vyšehrad. This is what foster parents will appreciate the most right now. You can bring unused baby clothes, baby carriers, baby monitors and breath monitors.
Future schoolchildren will appreciate school supplies and school bags. Čajomír Fest helps where it is most needed.
Raffle
To make a great event even better, you will also have a chance to win great prizes! With every ticket you buy, you will receive a raffle ticket at the ticket office, where you can win prizes such as a voucher for the Tea School at Kampa (‘Čajová škola na Kampě’), the tea tasting game Imperium of Tea, and a chance to be a guest at the tea ceremony right on the festival stage. Čajomír Fest 2019, the biggest tea festival in Europe, will be full of surprises this year!
