The Philosophy Hall was built in place of a granary. It was built by the abbot Václav Mayer in the last quarter of the 18th century due to numerous additions to the library. At present, the library serves as a public library and it is the biggest private library in the CR. The hall is 32 metres long, 10 metres wide and 14 metres high. It was designed by Jan Ignácio Palliardi. The library is made of walnut wood, details are made from elm and gilded details of linden.
