7.3.2024 — Od pondělí 11. března 2024 bude dočasně přerušen provoz lanové dráhy Újezd - Petřín. Důvodem je pravidelná revize. Do provozu se lanová dráha vrátí ve čtvrtek 28. března 2024.

20.9.2020 — There are 203 species of deciduous and 44 species of coniferous trees in Stromovka in Prague, making the former game reserve one of the richest in tree species diversity in the Czech Republic. Many trees in Stromovka now have new labels as part of the project 'Trees you want to know'. 134 nameplates were installed on 94 tree species in the central part of the Royal Game Reserve. Therefore, visitors to Stromovka can now learn about a total of 18 species of oak, for example. One of the white oaks growing in the park is even the oldest of its species in the Czech Republic.

31.5.2020 — On the 6th and 7th of June, Prague City Gallery invites you to visit the Troja Château Gardens, the gallery's first public event after the reopening, as part of the Open Gardens Weekend.

9.10.2020 — Fotograf Festival, which takes place in Prague until the 18th of October, is a festival of photography, which explores the relationship between contemporary art and photography. A series of exhibitions and film screenings in several locations in Prague will be organised, as well as lectures, debates with artists and performances. The motto of this year's festival is 'Uneven Ground'. Come to explore the unknown, the unexpected, the other. In eight connected exhibitions, organisers offer various perspectives, creating and examining connections between artists from different generations and places, as well as between photographers and their models or objects. In doing so, they connect not only one person with another, but also the known with the unknown.

23.5.2020 — You have the opportunity to admire award-winning and selected photos from the Czech Nature Photo 2020 competition until the 28th of June. The Czech Nature Photo 2020 exhibition, which exhibits the best nature images by photographers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, takes place in the Czech Photo Centre, 4 Seydlerova Street, Prague 5 - Nové Butovice.

28.12.2017 — The annual New Year's Day firework in Prague will be held in the Czech national colours to mark the upcoming 100th anniversary of the birth of Czechoslovakia and it will be closed with the national anthem.

5.2.2007 — Praha - Od září začneme naplno usilovat o kandidaturu na olympijské hry, řekl včera poprvé naprosto jednoznačně primátor Pavel Bém.„I když kandidatura na rok 2016 je jen formální. Pro nás přichází v úvahu až olympiáda v roce 2020, respektive 2024, “ uvedl Bém.

21.12.2023 — Svoz odpadu na území Prahy se bude i o vánočních a novoročních svátcích uskutečňovat dle harmonogramu. Posilněn bude v předvečer Štědrého dne až do Silvestra na sídlištích a dle situace také na dalších místech. Sběrné dvory zůstanou o svátcích a na přelomu roku zavřené. Odstrojené vánoční stromky mohou lidé u popelnic odkládat až do února. Nejbližší termíny svozu, případně i naplněnost nádob, je možné ověřit prostřednictvím mapy tříděného odpadu.

4.9.2023 — Radní hl. m. Prahy na svém pondělním jednání schválili vyhlášení Programu v oblasti rodinné politiky pro rok 2024. Smyslem tohoto záměru, na který bude vyčleněno 44 700 000 Kč, je podpora funkčních i znevýhodněných rodin, rozvoj náhradní rodinné péče nebo například podpora dobrovolnictví a neformálně pečujících osob v této oblasti.
