23.8.2007 — Humanitární organizace Hand for Help, o.p.s Liberec se rozhodla poskytnout pomoc oblastem postiženým přírodní katastrofou, která svým dopadem předčí mimo jiné i katastrofální tsunami na Srí Lance, kde se humanitární pomoci účastnila i skupina vyslaná touto organizací. Ničivá povodeň do Asie přišla na den přesně 5 let poté, kdy i Čechy potkala tato hrůzná zkušenost. Pět let před tím obdobnou zkušenost učinily i města a obce a jejich obyvatelé na Moravě. O katastrofě v Indii a Bangladéši se v naší republice doposud moc nemluvilo, snad právě proto si zaslouží pozornost a nutnost pomoci potřebným.
First World War photography exhibition in Invalidovna
19.8.2019 — The exhibition, entitled 'Jenda Rajman's Camera' ('Fotoaparátem Jendy Rajmana'), that is on in Invalidovna, Prague, documents Czech participation on the Italian front during the First World War.
Support Czech culture by buying ‘Nothing’ tickets
7.4.2020 — A nationwide project to support theatres, concert halls, clubs and artists has been launched. 'NIC' tickets have been on sale since the 1st of April. 'Nic' means 'nothing' in Czech and that is the aim of this project - as cultural events cannot take place, cultural institutions and artists need your support. According to Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture, Czech people are inventive, so instead of simply asking for donations, they came up with a plan to sell tickets for 'non-existing' cultural events, which will (not) take place on the 1st of May.

23.8.2019 — As in previous years, Čajomír Fest, the 11th annual international tea festival, will offer two days of tea tasting, food, workshops, children's activities, music, relaxation, pottery and much more. You can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the festival on the 24th and 25th of August at Vyšehrad.
New baby animals in Prague Zoo
30.4.2020 — One hundred and thirty animals from over forty species have been born in Prague Zoo since it closed on the 13th of March 2020. With other animals still giving birth, including the rare Malayan tapir, zookeepers are wondering when the public will get to see them.
TSK announced public contracts for the restoration of Prague´s Libeň bridge
27.10.2020 — Technická správa komunikací hl. m. Prahy (TSK) announced two public contracts for the restoration of Prague's Libeň Bridge, management of the construction and coordination of the entire project. The aim of the first contract is to select a supplier of the construction works and related design and engineering services. The selection process will be carried out in accordance with the FIDIC - Yellow Book conditions (Design & Build project type). The second public contract aims to find a suitable construction manager and project coordinator.
The adventure park on Libeňský Island reopens for the summer
5.4.2019 — 'Lanové centrum Loděnice Vltava', the popular adventure park operated by Prague's Youth Centre, is reopening after the winter break on the 7th of April.
Prague is safe, according to the overwhelming majority of inhabitants
6.2.2019 — The inhabitants of Prague greatly appreciate the declining crime rate in the capital every year. This information is based on a survey requested by Prague City Hall, 'Safety Sensitivity Analysis' (Analýza pocitu bezpečí). The survey's results show that 90% inhabitants feel safe in their neighbourhood.
