15.6.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra, also known as FOK, which stands for Film Opera Koncert, will hold a special concert in the Municipal House's Smetana Hall. The concert will be the orchestra's first after the coronavirus break and will take place at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, the 23rd of June. The orchestra will be directed by Pietari Inkinen. Sibelius' tone poem 'Finlandia' Op. 26 and Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 in E minor Op. 95 'From the New World' will be on the evening's programme. This is will Inkinen's final concert as chief conductor of FOK, with his typical combination of Finnish and Czech music.

16.9.2019 — European Mobility Week is the world's largest sustainable mobility campaign. The campaign, which has been held since 2002, will take place from the 16th to the 22ndof September. European Mobility Week is organised in dozens of European cities as an initiative of the European Commission. It aims to offer city inhabitants alternative modes of transport, and to show them ways to travel around the city quickly and cleverly.

2.11.2004 — Primátor hl. m. Prahy MUDr. Pavel Bém byl včera v Brožíkově síni Staroměstské radnice přítomen slavnostnímu vyhlášení a předání mezinárodní literární Ceny Franze Kafky, jíž je hl. m. Praha spolupořadatelem. Letošní nositelkou Ceny Franze Kafky se stala rakouská spisovatelka Elfriede Jelinek.
